What is a product line?
A product line is a collection of products, that has close relations with each other, offered to a market by the same manufacturer or distributor.
For example, the products of sanitary paper products such as toilet paper, napkins, towels, box wipes, and tissue paper make a product line.
Generally, a product line is offered under a single brand name. Their functions are very similar. Their target market and distribution channel are also close.
Making product lines is a marketing strategy. Because it’s easy to reach an existing consumer with a new product offered under the same brand.
